Deanna Marie (Hanson) Bryant 81 of Morris, passed away late Thursday evening, January 03, 2019, at her home
surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 12, 1937, in Rochester, MN. Deanna was the daughter of the late Esther (Engvaldsen) Hanson and Walter
Jessie Hanson. A devoted mother she is survived by her five children, Kimberly Olson of Oregon, Pamela Olson of Morris,
Christine (Jeff) Kasher of Diamond, Joshua Moe (Athena)of Plainfield, Mechelle Moe of Chicago; six grandchildren, Sara,
Jessica , Sierra, Sebastian, Nick, Mikaela; nine great grandchildren; and her sister Janine Rasmussen of Rockford.
Deanna is preceded in death by her husband James Bryant, parents, brother, sister and oldest daughter, Julie Anne.
Deanna delighted in being a grandmother, and lit up around her grandchildren. She was a loyal friend whose generosity
and care was unmatched. Guided by her Lutheran faith, she took great care in helping those in need, showing kindness to
the elderly and never turning a stray away. Deanna also never met a craft fair or art show she didn’t like and had a talent for
making the most beautiful flower arrangements. She was a superb baker who kept her kitchen full of cookies, cakes and pies.
She loved spending time in her garden, as well as traveling to Minnesota. She was fond of her time spent in Canada as a
young girl, and liked to venture back. Ultimately, her heart was full of so much love for those around her, and even when she
struggled with her disease of Parkinson’s and dementia, she continued to find ways to tell her family how much she loved
them and how proud she was of them.
