Sandra K. Anders, 76, of Morris, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 01, 2019 at her sister-in-law’s home in Mazon.
Born August 25, 1943 in Kirksville, MO, she was the daughter of Duane and Garnet (Peavler) Daniels. She attended Mazon
Grade School, Center School in Morris, MVK High School and graduated from MCHS with the class of 1961. She married Tom
Anders on August 29, 1986 in Morris. She was employed at Federal Paper Board in Morris for 15 years, for 2 years at Visy
Board Litho in Melbourne, Australia, International Paper in Marseilles and part time at Brandt Printing.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Lee Dickison of Mazon; one niece, Cassandra (Robert) Thompson of Palm Coast, FL and
their children, Tiffany Thompson and her children, Dhane, Dylan, Jeffery and Colton, and Eric Thompson (Tressa) and their
children, Emilynn and Patrick, Tonya (Robert) Coleman and their children, Cody and Bentley; sister-in-law, Linda (Dave)
Hammen of Mazon; nephew, David (Courtney) Hammen of Mazon and their children, Parker and Delaney; one aunt, Margie
Smoyer; one brother-in-law, Dave Shenaut and numerous cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her loving husband, Tom on May 15, 2019; sister-in-law, Maxine Anders Shenaut;
brother-in-law, James Dickison; mother-in-law, Jane Anders.
She was a trick rider in the rodeo in the White Horse Troop ,a NASCAR fan, enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping with best
friend, Lois Brandt, having lunch with class mates every month and became a recent Cubs fan.
Memorials may be directed to Joliet Area Community Hospice or Operation St. Nick.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 03, 2019 at 12:00 pm at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in
Morris with Rev. Dr. Roy Backus officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday
from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
