Deloris Larson

Deloris Larson, 93, of Morris, passed away Friday morning, July 28, 2017 at the Morris Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:30 am at the West Lisbon Church with Pastors Steven C. Lombardo,
Rex J. Howe and Steve Larson officiating. Interment will follow in the West Lisbon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday
from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the church.

She was born October 30, 1923 in Morris, the daughter of Irving and Viola (Johnson) Hauge.

Deloris married Harvey B. Larson on April 23, 1949. They raised three children on the farm in rural Newark.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Harvey in 1986; oldest daughter, Diane in 2017; three brothers, Vernon and Leo
Hauge and Willis Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Douglas (Deborah) Larson of Shorewood; her youngest daughter, Sharon McKanna of Morris; two
granddaughters, Kristen (Dennis) Mueller of Manhattan and Kelly Larson of Minooka; one grandson, Jon McKanna of Morris;
three great grandchildren, Nolan, Hayden and Addison Mueller.

Deloris graduated from Newark Community High School in 1941.  Following graduation from Metropolitan Business School, she
worked at All-Steel in Aurora. She then went to work at Carthage College in Carthage, IL as a secretary to Dr. Nelson, President
of the school. In her younger years, Deloris competed in typing contests and was capable of typing over 120 words per minute
on a manual typewriter.

In 1947 she returned to the Morris area and was employed at the Grundy County National Bank in the bookkeeping department
totaling more than 20 years.

As an accomplished musician she was church organist for both West Lisbon Church and Lisbon Bethlehem Lutheran Church
totaling close to 40 years. She also played and accompanied performances at over 20 area churches on special occasions.
Deloris cherished her faith, farm and family.

The family extends special thanks to the caring staff at the Morris Hospital ICU, Dr. Jones and Joliet Area Community Hospice.
