Peter J. Duray, 82, of Minooka, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, April 03, 2017 at home with his daughter Jody by
Peter donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Association in Chicago. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017
at 6:00 pm at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in Morris with Rev. Edward J. Howe, CR officiating. Visitation will
be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Following the memorial service, military honors will
be provided by the Morris Color Guard outside of the funeral home.
He was born on July 14, 1934 in Harvey, IL and his mother passed away in childbirth, so Peter was placed in an orphanage.
Peter spent his early years in foster homes in Hazel Crest, Morris and Seneca area. When he reached 18 he enlisted in the U.S.
Marines and served his country proudly. He was a golden glove boxer during his service. After being honorably discharged
Peter became a laborer with Local 75 until he retired.
He is survived by four daughters, Kim (David) Massey of Waukee, IA, Glenda Duray of Seneca, Jody (Ted) Gladkowski of
Channahon and Tracy (Charles deceased) Michaels of Plainfield; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Scott) Adams, Lindsey (Jacob
deceased) Wolter, Cody Mulac, Todd Gladkowski, Kyle Taylor, Tyler Gladkowski, Brandon Taylor and Zachary Michaels; his two
great grandsons, Cade and Evan Adams.

Peter enjoyed playing baseball in his younger days and he was a fan of NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago
